Darfield Artweek is back for 2024 and entries are now open! 

 

Why enter Darfield Artweek? It’s a great stepping stone for emerging artists to exhibit amongst many well established and career artists, we have over 1000 visitors to the exhibition each year, low fees to enter and close to 400 artworks! Through the support of our generous sponsors, we’re able to offer numerous prizes across the exhibition, with a premier prize of $2,000. 

 

We’re proud that our youth section continues to grow, with the standard of last year’s entries impressively high. With two age categories within the youth section, 8 - 12 years and 13 - 18 years (age at time of entry), we invite youth artists to join us, and also be in with the chance to win prizes and sell their works. 

 

Entries to Darfield Artweek are open now at malvernarts.org.nz/artweek and will close Tuesday, 1 October. 

All entries must be made online, we are happy to help you enter if you require assistance, please contact darfieldartweek@gmail.com and book a time between 9.30am - 2.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday or drop into the Darfield Library on a Thursday afternoon. Late entries may be accepted, incurring an additional $10 fee. All fees are non-refundable.

 

Darfield Artweek Opening Night will be held 7 - 9pm Friday, 11 October, tickets $20 (includes refreshments, supper and catalogue) available at trybooking.com

The exhibition runs 10am - 4pm daily at the Darfield Recreation Centre from Saturday, 12 - Sunday, 20 October.
